Brighton mini meet - Friday 27th March 2009

I guess it's about time to organise another Brighton mini meet.

We're all a friendly bunch, so if you've not been before, don't be shy, you'll be made to feel very welcome.

If the weather is picking up, we could change the venue to "The Fortunes of War" on the sea front, if not it'll be a return to "The Hanover"?

Bikers and 4x4'ers all welcome, there's no transportation type apartheid in Brighton.

Let me know what you all think about the venue change, there is a big indoor bit where you can sit and look out to sea wistfully, upstairs in "The Fortunes of War". If I hear nothing we'll go for a change and I'll post details of how to get there a week or so before.

Iain.

Hi Iain,

Sounds good to me either way, but the seaview has got to be a winner. Count me and the old man in.

Regards

Belle

Funny enough I will be in Brighton that week - down from Northumberland but think we (Me and Mrs) are probably leaving the area on Wednesday or Thursday morning - shame it would have been nice to pop in and meet some of you. (Mind you we may end up staying around longer depending on a few other bits and pieces yet to be decided so we will see).

I was thinking of going to the Touratech event that weekend, though camping in Wales in March doesn't sound that attractive.
Maybe I'll be in Brighton instead.

Well done Iain. This is in my diary already . The seafront sounds good if the weather looks good. Hopefully it may be warmer by then too! I will hopefully bring my better half along too.

Yeh

Count me in. Sea front sounds good. Parking over the road in multi story and bike bays above pub on road. Or do they turn a blind eye to bikes down by the door? Linzi.

Tim says " camping in Wales in March doesn't sound that attractive" and he's probably right!

Here is another option in a wayyyyyy better location too
You may want to consider instead going to the Touratech Travel Event 2009 in warmer Orange (France) taking place on 3rd, 4th and 5th of April 2009

Camping free on site -
Great local ride outs, great food and wayyyyyyy more fun than... Brighton or Wales
(sorry Brighton and Wales!)

There seems to be an event on at "Fortune of War", so it looks like we're back to the good old Hanover for the meeting, if that all sounds good to you all.

See you there, all welcome.

Is that at 242 Queens Park Road, BN2 9ZB?

Is there bike parking nearby?

Yes

Yes to both. Going north, the pub is on the right, on the corner with Down Terrace. There is a bike bay immediately round the corner at the side of the pub. Parking on the extra wide pavement infront seems to be OK too after 6pm. Linzi.
