There's another Overland Adventure Tour Bike Day at the Ace Cafe on Sunday 21st February. From 9 to 5. Are you going? Last year's event was excellent.

Last years was a very good enjoyable day. I bought so many books I'm still reading them!
Sadly I'll be in France on the 21st so I can't get there this time. Hopefully a few people will post pics / do write up.

Simon F 9 Jan 2010 16:00

Thats funny-I have logged on to specifically ask is there a meet again this year at the Ace. Last year's was a great day out-and as I recall in the middle of 2009 snowy season!

See you there-and recommended good day out to all

Simon

Metrotech 11 Jan 2010 23:29

Hi

I'm planning to be there, and it looks as if its going to be an owner's club ride out as there a bunch who say they up it.:mchappy:

Guess the bike ?

(:DThere may be cake if you guess right:D)

Tim Cullis 12 Jan 2010 01:37

For the second year running I'll be away touring. Pity.

Wrong, wrong & wrong. No where near as exotic or impractical as that I'm afraid.

Hint : I was at Ripley 2009 and I believe the only one there.

:mchappy:

ilesmark 12 Jan 2010 10:54

Are those on 4 wheels (or who did their trips on 4 wheels) eligible for these Ace Cafe meetups?

chris 12 Jan 2010 11:07

Yes, why not. The only issue is parking. Their carpark will be full of bikes. I parked my van in the street last year.
cheers
Chris

grizzly7 12 Jan 2010 16:23

Is there plenty of room in the street for the not so small 4 wheelers?!

PASSING PHASE 12 Jan 2010 17:24

I hope to go this year last year snow stoped us getting out of house, I hope this lot of snow is gone by then!

welshstrome 12 Jan 2010 18:30

Hi all, being quite new to the site and never been to one of your events, what would I expect on the day

This isn't a HU event. For all details, please visit the Ace Cafe website.

I believe Grant and Susan, Austin Vince and Lois Pryce, Touratech amongst others will have a presence. Last year there were talks by Austin, Simon Gandolfi (and others? I can't remember). Austin, HU and Sam Manicom had stands selling books and dvds, the carpark was full of bikes and people stood around and chatted.

This year: Probably similar.

What a poor showing of the SibirskyExtreme bikes!

I had better do some (a lot!) of work on mine to make it safe and road legal again so I can take it.

How about Terry?

Trix 9 Feb 2010 09:59

Doh would like to have gone but we are currently touring Thailand oh well try to get to the uk meet ..........

See you Sunday, and you can fill me in about Siberski

r.o. 20 Feb 2010 16:34

Are there talks or something happening at specific times?

Assuming we don't get snowed in overnight, I'll be there tomorrow from about 11am on a green Ninja 250R. I'm hoping to bring a few friends along too. It's my first visit to such a get-together, so I'm looking forward to meeting people.

I've seen that there will be presentations, but I've not seen anything to say what time each one is happening. If last years event is anything to go by you won't be dissapointed.

riti 21 Feb 2010 07:46

well, the snow's coming down thick and fast in Huntingdon, and my wife (works for the fire service) tells me it gets heavier the closer you get to London), so I'm pulling out. Sorry all that I'd arranged to meet.

Seem to remember a fair few didn't make it last year due to icy roads - any chance of a different month next year???

Have a good time if you make it - and drive safe

Well i made it in the end ..
I left home in heavy snow ,broke down 1mile from home ,dumped the xt ,managed to get a lift home and took the cb1300 instead.

By then the snow had nearly stopped.

Really glad i made the effort ,from north of cambridge.:D

A bit late

I really must check the dates on HUBB threads before spending too long reading! I was looking for a thread about the 2011 event and was 2 pages through this thread before I realised I was a year late. Believe it is on again this year and I am now off thread hunting or starting about 20th Feb 2011!
