I know you've all been waiting anxiously, we've been working hard on all sorts of things, and finally have all the details sorted - well almost all, but close enough!

See http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/meetings/UK2012-autumn for all the details and to signup.

As always, we really need volunteers to help out, so please just tick the volunteer box when you register to give Gabe and Char a hand for a couple of hours.

Presenters - Please sign up at the Presenters page:

We'd love to be there ourselves but can't, so please take lots of pictures and have a GREAT time!

This sounds great and I'd love to go but can't commit to it yet. Realistically, does this get booked up fast or am I still liable to be able sign up nearer the date? I get the impression it's a smaller affair than Ripley

Great work anyway

Yes it's much smaller than Ripley, but there is a limit on the numbers. We are expecting/hoping to be under the limit, so while there's no immediate panic, don't hang about either!

Thanks Grant; I know you're very busy but if it's filling up very fast perhaps you or another organiser could pass by and mention it here, so those of us lagging can get our skates on

I heard on the radio that a heatwave is one the way. Probably have been and gone by then

If we look like filling up we'll do our best to let you know - the weak spot / reality is simple though; we don't check numbers daily, so it might be a couple of weeks before we notice - and then there may not be much warning, so keep a close eye on this thread - best to subscribe to it!

Hi Sennen, I went for the first time last year and really enjoyed it. Do go if you can wangle it. The Mendip area (if you don't know it) is quite beautiful with some great minor roads to ride and the coast isn't that far away either. There's a very nice atmosphere about the Meet, but then, it's HU isn't it I'm actually feeling a bit gutted at the moment. I already know I can't go. I'm booked to be riding in Spain - shame - thought I'd got my dates right Good excuse for not making it though eh. Anyway, hope you do manage to get to it. You'll not regret it I'm sure.
Cheers,
Sam

Hi Sam
Hope you're recovered from Ripley.

The Autumn meet does sound great esp. as I missed Ripley this year, and yes I used to tootle around that area years ago so know it's a bit special.

Really hope to be able to make it, but just can't commit yet as the dates could go awry. Hope there's still places left once I'm sure.

And shame you won't be there, would have been nice to meet up again. But I'm sure riding around Spain will have it's moments...

See you around!

Hi
Well, I've registered, booked, paid and volunteered to help with setting up.
I was wondering, though ... if I turn up for wednesday morning, (as the form said setting up will be from wednesday 10.30am), wether I can camp on site from this day?
Also ... I'll be riding down from Sheffield, wednesday morning, if any others are going this early, from ooop north, and fancy joining me.

Site only open from Friday, setting up starts Thursday...

Trev,

Thanks very much indeed for volunteering to help, it make all the difference to have some folks giving a hand, especially with set-up and taking down.

I'm afraid there was a bit of a typo on the form that you saw, as setting up on-site only starts Thursday evening.
If you're involved in volunteering than you're welcome to stay on site with us Thursday night, but please don't arrive before Thursday evening.

In the unlikely event that no one is allowed to stay on site Thursday night, you can stay at our place in Wells.

I'll email you now and will include phone numbers to get hold of us.
Any questions, do call.

Cheers
Gabe & Char
