First Full HU Meeting New Zealand!

Hi all. Having organised four mini-meetings in New Zealand over the last seven years, we have decided to bite the bullet and go for the Big One next year.

Announcing the whistles and bells, flashing lights and hooters, all singing and dancing
New Zealand Horizons Unlimited Gathering for 2009!

Plan your NZ trip around this weekend.

Date: February 20,21,and 22 (when the weather is usually the best in NZ, so abandon the gloom of the northern hemisphere and head south).

Special guests: Peter and Kay Forwood

For those who don't know, here is a small snippet from their website.

"This has been a twelve year journey throughout the world which started in Australia on the 3rd of February 1996 and continues today. The same motorcycle, carrying our luggage has now visited 189 countries and ridden over 480,000 km on its journey. We are endeavouring to have it take us to every country in the world".

It is the most amazing motorcycle story I have read, and believe me, I have read lots.

New Zealand is the last country on their list and they will be there with their bike. This is reason enough to drop the mini-meeting and reach for full meeting status. Come along, shake their hands and be inspired.

Other special guests and attractions are being organised, along with a full complement of speakers, to say nothing of lots of fellow travelers. In the spirit of the new HU community, incorporating the car and bicycle fraternities, all are welcome.

More details as they are confirmed.

Kind regards,

Nigel and Lee in NZ

Question Chasing Registration

Hi Nigel

Can you let me know where we find the registration forms for the HU meeting in February, or am I chasing you too early? (I last posted back in October and thought that they might be available by now.)

There are two of us that want to attend.

Thanks
Lisa

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
