Argentinian HU hospitality

To Oscar and his wonderful family thank you very much, muchas gracias, for the way they looked after the travelling bikers. To those travellers that by-passed the meeting, their liver, kidneys and dietician might thank them for it but the memories more than compensate for the body damage done. To those that are heading to the south of Argentina/Chile next December, my advice, hit the Viedma meeting and to hell with the consequences. Ride safe.

Couldn´t find smiley thing about naked mutton so you´ll just have to imagine it.

This going to be happening this year? Dates? Trying to come up with some type of long term outlook plan and attend a meeting that I missed in California a ways back.

John in Armenia, Colombia at the moment and working my way South.

YES it's on - December 7-9, roughly as usual. I'll be posting it on the Meetings pages asap.

And by the way it's the TENTH Anniversary Argentina Meeting, so Oscar is planning to make it a big one!

I'll plan on it

Looking forward to it.

Grant is there anyway I can put my California funds towards this meeting?
I'd paid up and was trying to make the Lost Coast meeting in 2009 but wasn't able to make it out West for it. I told Susan just save the funds and I would attend another in the future.

John in Pamplona, Colombia getting ready for the cheap stuff again in Venezuela

Sure - but since we don't charge for this meeting, not sure how much help it would be! Any payment made is only on the day to cover the hosts expenses, nothing for us. Save it for another one!

Wouldn't you know it, I start trying to plan something out too far ahead and I'm already shot down from it. Looks like I will have to wait for 2013

Going to leave the bike way too far North and not have enough time to make it that far South for this year's event but I can see next year is looking good

John in Caracas waiting on parts.

Scheduling scheduling, After Deadhorse Alaska and BurningMan I return to Buenos Aires at the end of October. Was hoping to do a few months in north Brasil before it got too hot. I can squeeze this in somehow!

New to Horizons Unlimited?

New to motorcycle travelling? New to the HU site? Confused? Too many options? It's really very simple - just 4 easy steps!

Horizons Unlimited was founded in 1997 by Grant and Susan Johnson following their journey around the world on a BMW R80G/S.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
