Grant,
I've regsitered for the rally in Portugal and I want to send you a cheque in Pounds. How much is 25 Euros? Or do I just do an online conversion at today's rate or something?

Arrow fast conversions

fast conversions can be made with Google

put 25 euro = ? pounds in the search-bar press enter and presto, link

same can be done with liters, inches etc.

BTW. when you make a moneytransfer with your bank or paypall you can easily change the current you want to pay, you just fill in the form and change it into 25 euro and the calculations will be made by your bank on the rate of the day.

cheers

just send a cheque in pounds:

Sophie-Bart has good info above, also XE.com - The World's Favorite Currency and Foreign Exchange Site does conversions well for anything.

XE says it's currently
16.8150 GBP

PayPal is the easiest if you have a credit card - enter the euro - or whatever is the requested amount/currency - and your card will be charged the exchange amount in pounds. Works a treat.

See you there!

Grant

Is it €25 or €30?

I registered for this on Saturday and went to pay using PayPal. On here, the basic fee is shown as €25, yet when I got to the PayPal page it shows the amount to pay as €30!
I have assumed the first figure to be correct, and if not, I'll cough-up the rest when I get there.
Anyone else had this?

Maybe it is like the ferries and aircraft, the price goes up as they fill up!!
(Pity it is still in the high season for the UK rip-off ferry prices BTW)
