Brazil HU Meeting is ON, Iguazu, March 29-31 2013!

I know lots of you have been waiting and wondering what's happening, so here's the good news - it's all sorted and it's HAPPENING in Iguassu!

The bad news - err, there is none!

Rodolfo Datsch has stepped up and is hosting the Meeting, so many big thanks to Rodolfo!

It's a Mini-meeting, so there is no charge for the event, just pay for your own food and accommodation. All the details to date are on the Registration page at:

http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/events/brazil-2013

There will be lots happening but we'd love to have YOU present your travel story or technical clinic on just about anything travel related, so go to the page and register and let us know you're coming and can volunteer.

The current plan is to make this an ANNUAL event, last weekend in March, so if you can't make it this year, get it on your calendar for 2014.

We hope you have a great time!

Sounds like a fun time! I spent a few weeks in Iguassu last year and had a great time at the hostal. Its a lovely area and there is a very strong biking community in Iguassu. Rod, the organizer has extensive contacts in the area and he and his friends are very hospitable.

I wish I could be there for this.

I'd love to participate but unfortunately, due professional reasons, this year I will not be able to attend the meeting. If this event become an annual event, in 2014 I will do everything in my power to be present.

Confirmed bikers

I´ve already confirmed about 15 bikers, most of them brazilians from cities around and still some overlanders about to confirm.
I know it was a short period of advertising but be sure that everyone that comes will have a good time.

Cheers

Best wishes from Ireland for a successful and fun Brasil HU gathering this weekend.

I have heard great reports on the hostel at Iguassu from other travelers and I will be keeping an eye on plans for a 2014 meeting as I am hoping to be in Argentina/Brasil early next year

Slainte (Cheers in Irish!)

Brasil meeting, highlights!!!!

Would like to say thank's to everyone who made this meeting happen, it was a very pleasant weekend, I believe everyone involved had a lot of fun.

The tour to the ITAIPU Dam was definetly one of the best things we did and I'm sure everyone enjoyed the dinner on Saturday night.

Woud like to say an special thank's to Raul, Hugo, David, George, Iacek, Harry, Mario and Rodrigo, incredible guys, Raul driving the guys around, Hugo always cooking amazing dishes and the other who helped a lot before, during and after the meeting, just can't thank you enough guys!!!

I'm posting some pics and would like to see some from the others, specially those with Harry and his loved Betty.

Raul, opening one of the many bottles opened on the weekend

Iacek, the homo erectus eating style!!

Mario and Walter who came with his fancy Land Rover

See you on the next meeting!!!!

Cheers

Great weekend and a once in a life-time experience

Thank you Rod for laying on a fabulous weekend.
Everyone had a fun time and organizing the ride across the Itaipu dam will feature high on the list of top memories of the last 22 months traveling...www.vegibike.com

The Iguassu Motorcycle Travellers Hostel has been fun, affordable and rich in terms of getting your help with mechanics for my bike Batty, but also heard you helping others with insurance, re-registering bikes, buying and selling, and all that good stuff, so the service went well beyond the beds...

All very grateful

Harry

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
