I'll be leaving from NJ on July 2nd. I was thinking about a central route, through Kansas, but with this hot weather, I might choose a more northerly route. Anyone want to hook-up along the way?

I sure wish this meeting didn't conflict with the MotoGP race at Laguna Seca. If it didn't I would be in Colorado, but the first motorcycle GP race in the US in many years is too good to pass up. Hope everyone has a great time at the meeting.

Laguna seca, last time I was there they called out the riot police that night because people were camping and bored and started doing burnouts. Good track and amazzzing racing.

Chris & Erin, Grant, et all,
Great time (except for the wind!), great people, programs, and location. Got to see old friends and meet some new ones. A lot of effort goes into putting one of these events together and we all appreciate it. We usually don't attend these kind of rallies, but this was FUN! Thank you all.

Thanks Allen! We had a blast too, and are already discussing and planning improvements for next year.

One of those improvements is the wind! Magic...

As it turns out, Buena Vista is KNOWN for it's wind - something that was never mentioned to us before, so with that knowledge - and a few other niggles - we are now looking elsewhere for next year.

Anyone in the area - please let us know if you know of a suitable location. I've had Paonia and Estes mentioned as possibles.

Requirements: Great riding, camping, cabins or hotels not too far, and a presentation room big enough for 200 is ideal, although we could once again use a tent - but we'd rather not. A second smaller presentation room is a bonus we'd like.

Thanks again, and see you next year!

Grant

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
