Don't miss an opportunity to print out a few posters that Grant has on the Creel page and take them to your local dealer's open house.
We did that today in Scottsdale and we even got Helge Pedersen to promote the event. He had some nice things to say about Grant and the HU site in general. |

We will be riding down the dirt route discovered 2 years ago by GP himself, which is suitable for small and big dualies alike, composed of mostly packed dirt with loose small rocks on top, including a short sandy section, this road can be safely navigated by skilled riders onboard big GS's or 950 Adv's as gracefully demonstrated by k-7 last year. We can provide anyone who's interested with detailed route sheets, maps and GPS waypoints for all 3 routes, so all you have to do is simply pick one and go have the time of your life. Huachinera is 2-3 days from Creel, depending on which route you choose, and the speed at which you ride. I do wish to highlight the fact that this is NOT an organized ride.... we simply wish to share an open invitation by the amazingly gracious and hospitable folks from this town, who provided us with a uniquely warm welcome and an unforgettable experience last year. Looking for riders from Colorado
Fresh from the Leadville HU meeting I am looking forward to the warmth (??) of the one in Mexico. Hey, if we can have a good meeting in the Leadville rain, Creel sunshine will be great!http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...ons/icon14.gif
I would like to test the waters for other riders leaving from Colorado on the Sat or Sunday before the meeting. I was thinking about taking 3 days to get there from Denver, 2 if we have an early start and a looong day the first day. The plan would be to split motel cost on the way, and to keep each other on the right track to Creel. Alternatively we can set up location and meeting times along the way (Santa Fe, Abuquerque, Las Cruces) for riders coming from other states, before crossing the border. Was thinking that if the planning starts early enough it will help keep all on track with time off work and off other vacation commitments. It happened to me last year ... BTW, how warm is it in Creel in October? RZ 1200 GSA |
Creel in October is PERFECT riding weather - not too hot and uncomfortable to wear proper protection, with crisp and cool nights - sometimes frost on the bikes in the morning.

Photo course in Mexico
Yes - how many are interested in a half day photo course? Humberto would like to see my composition course extended to a half day, at a reasonable fee. I'm game - what about you? How much is fair? $40? What do you think?
We'll focus on composition of course, but also tips on shooting bikes on the move, and anything else that comes to mind. |
