Welcome to HU Justin. We'll look forward to meeting you in Cambria.

There are some additional things that will be going on at the meeting - we'll post the info here as soon as the details are confirmed - so check back occasionally.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the meeting. Last year was our first and it was great.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to post 'em here or PM us.

Best, Mike

Dr. Greg Frazier - 'Sun Chasing' in California

The HU California Travelers meeting is proud to host Dr. Gregory W. Frazier, recognized as “America’s #1 extreme adventure rider.” He has circumnavigated the globe five times, literally riding a myriad of motorcycles to the ends of the earth. After 1,000,000 miles of riding and racing motorcycles, he says, “I’ve not been to Everywhere, but as long as I am still roaming the globe it’s just over the horizon.”

Dr. Greg will present SUN CHASING: RIDING THE WORLD, a documentary film of Dr. Gregory W. Frazier’s five circumnavigations of the world by motorcycle, four times solo and once with a pillion. The film is narrated live by “Dr. Greg,” and filled with tips, tricks and entertaining tales of his adventures and misadventures piloting a wide range of motorcycles ranging from BMW to Kawasaki to Harley-Davidson, with a 1947 Indian Chief and Amazonas thrown into the mix.

For all the details visit the meeting page.

Don't miss this opportunity to spend a weekend on the beautiful Central Coast and meet one of the true legends of adventure travel.

We're very pleased to announce that Peter and Kay Forwood will be presenting the story of their 14 year RTW trip to ALL 193 countries of the world on a Harley-Davidson ElectraGlide - and yes it's still going, it's stock, and it will be there!

Hello all! Been meaning to post here for a while, really looking forward to the meeting! Took a spin by the site with Mike & Sandy back in the Spring and it's a great little facility for the meeting with a great view of the Pacific. More infrastructure than Petrolia, and will certainly be a different experience in that sense, but seems well suited to the HUBB meeting. As others have said some great riding in the neighbourhood too, so many positives! See you all there!

Go left approximately 300 yards; the entrance to the camp is clearly marked by a sign on the right at the
corner of Randall Dr. and St. James Rd. Take the dirt drive way uphill until you see the lodge on your

Thumbs up Dual Sport Clinic on Friday

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up -

Bonnie and Andrea of Coach2Ride off-road school in San Diego County are offering a dual sport clinic on Friday morning before the meeting at the Pozo OHV area (about 60mi east of the meeting site).

We took a clinic with them in December, and they do a great job.

This is an opportunity to get off-road experience and instruction on your own bike - and it's a bargain at $60.

Check out the details on the C2R/HU clinic page.

(The clinic is only open to people who have signed up for the meeting in Cambria, and is limited to 16 riders).

Hi all. Well, surprisingly enough, my boss has given me 4 days off to make the meeting. Cant wait. Ill see you all there.

If anyone is interested in meeting up, Im planning on leaving Lancaster sometime in the morning on Thursday, making my way through Carrizo Plain National Monument, camping there or somewhere just north of it on Thursday night and then getting to the meeting sometime on Friday. No plan other than that, which is itself a very flexible plan, but if anyone is interested maybe we could meet up.

If you haven't looked at the Presenters List for this event recently, you should! We have an amazing roster - it's going to be a VERY full weekend, with presentations starting at noon on Friday and solid right through to late Saturday night - we may even have a few on Sunday morning!

Jut a few very recent additions:

Geoff Thomas, UK
An ordinary guy on an extraordinary adventure who didn't let a lack of money become an obstacle - after all, it didn't stop Ewan and Charlie. 28,000 miles, 28 Countries on £20 ($31) per Day... and continuing.

West Africa on a Harley
Tim Bussey

Good eats on the Road!
Peter Dean, Executive Chef
You CAN eat really well on the road - learn from the master! Practical demo - bring your notebook!

You REALLY don't want to miss out, so book now!

You're going to want to bring your own. Last year several riders had turned their hard panniers into coolers. Adventure riders are a clever bunch -- and where is concerned, Canadians seem to be among the cleverest! (There was a great turnout from our neighbor to the north.)

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
