This is a great chance to meet other travellers in the area, get inspired, informed and connected!
Feb 26, Mar 26, April 23, 2013

Location: Holeshot Motorsports

Langley BC

We'll start off Feb 26 with Susan and I with two presentations, loads of new content and inspiration!
Around the World - they said we were crazy...
  • Grant and Susan Johnson
How it all began, the story of Grant and Susan's trip around the world, without a plan or a clue! In 1987, before the Internet, a young Canadian couple headed south from Vancouver to travel around the world on a motorcycle for 3 years. Eleven years and 50 countries later, they finally finished the trip! Could YOU do it too? Sure you can - if we can, you can - find out how!
Motorcycle Adventure Travel - You can do it, we can help!
  • Grant and Susan Johnson
What do you need to know to do "The Big Trip"? Does it take two years of preparation and a new bike completely decked out in Touratech equipment, or can you get away with less? Don't have years and megabucks to prepare, or spend, on a trip but you're desperate to do something!? Includes top tips for overland travelling, excerpts from the world-famous Achievable Dream DVD series and much more...
We have Kevan Ibbotson, funny as always lined up for March, with a tale of adventure going crazy in Alaska, and "Bodging it" and more to come as we get everyone confirmed.

In April we have Gordon Jackson, currently in South America, with his story "Biking South Americas Wild Side" and who knows who else!

It's going to be a lot of fun, we're really looking forward to it and hope to see you all there!

Holeshot would love to have an idea if you're going to be there, so please see their Facebook event page, and RSVP. No worries if you can't, we'll find room! I hope...

Damn! I wish I'd known about this earlier. I'm in Portland, Oregon and I could've ridden my Ducati up.

We had a great turnout to the first Adventure Travel Evening at Holeshot in Feb, caught up with quite a few old friends and made some new ones! We did two presentations, and almost everyone stayed until the end
For those of you who were there, we have some serious loudspeakers for next time, so there won't be any difficulty hearing the presenters.

We're looking forward to the next meeting next Tuesday March 26. This time we'll have our own Kevan Ibbotson with tales of derring do in Alaska, and Brian Smith with stories from Morocco and Europe, and what he and his wife have learned from many trips. Most importantly Brian and Kevan will tell you how YOU can do it too!

We're really looking forward to it and hope to see you there!

You can register to be sure of a seat at: https://www.facebook.com/holeshotlangley/events
If you're not on Facebook, no worries we'll squeeze you in!

Horizons Unlimited Adventure Travel Evening #3 next Tuesday!

Looks like another great evening at Holeshot Motorsports, Langley, BC with Jeffrey Polnaja from Indonesia telling us about his 7 years on the road around the world - and two to go! Also Gordon Jackson, Canada will give us the lowdown on the Wild Things he's been up to in South America!

Jeffrey has also arranged a very special treat with the local Indonesian Community - they're bringing Indonesian snacks and samples for a real international flavour to the evening!

Snacks and goodies and conversation at 6:30, and presentations start at 7, door prize draw at 8:30-ish. (Last major door prize was an awesome riding jacket, as well as the
"The Achievable Dream - the Motorcycle Adventure Travel Guide" box set!)

More details here and RSVP if possible, though not required:
https://www.facebook.com/events/442198659206656/

See you there!

Grant and Susan

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
