Thumbs up Belgium Mini HU Meet... When: January '09 Where: Gent Belgium

Hi fellow travelers,

Its been far too long since there was a HU meet in Belgium. To get the ball rolling for '09 I'm proposing a mini meet in / around Gent. For +/- 35 participants, I can host it at my home in Destelbergen nr Gent, if we have a greater response then I'll advise the venue.

The proposed timing is either a Friday evening or Sunday afternoon into evening, January is an ideal time as celebrations are past and the new year dreams start.. unless you're lucky enough to go off ski-ing...

So if you're interested, please follow the link and enter your name and preferred date;
Doodle: Belgium Mini HUBB

We need presenters, I'm hoping for Trui and Gaea of the book Meisjes, Moslims and Motoren fame. I'll offer a few tips on riding from Belgium to Jordan... any other volunteers ? English or Dutch is fine...I'll provide a projector and laptop for presentations. Maybe a Te Koop stand if you want to sell on any unwanted bike / travel equipment.... limited refreshments will be available.....

After voting please can you email me / reply so I can make contact at a later date !

Kindest regards

Matthew Mason

Belgium Mini HU Meet... When: 11th January '09 Where: Destelbergen NR. Gent Belgium

Belgium Mini HU Meet / New Year Drink ...
When: SUNDAY 11th January '09 Where:

Hi fellow travelers,

Firstly happy New Year and we wish you safe travels. We’re still on for a mini HU meet at my home on Sunday 11th.

Nothing formal, it all starts around 15.30 pm until 20.00 ish… I’ll provide something simple to eat, eg Hotdogs and drinks, would ask for a small contribution on the day to cover costs. There will be a projector and laptop so anyone wanting to present their trip are very welcome too.. I’m happy to chat about my recent trip to Jordan and we have an evening presentation from Trui (Meisjes, Moslims & Motoren)

Practical issues:

Please reply to this email to confirm you’re coming just so I can organize food. Please email me for the address and directions, as I dont want to put it up for all on the internet ...

Matthew.Mason at Skynet . be

Until then
Kindest regards
Matthew and Anne-Marie

New to Horizons Unlimited?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
