One question: does the camp ground allow bikes on the camping spot, ie next to the tent? Or do they need to be parked elsewhere?

Smitty aus Kalifornien

Looking forward to the Fall HU meeting in Germany. This will be my second meeting this year - first was in Enniskillen, Ireland. It will also be my third HU meeting venue.

I'm especially looking forward to this meeting, my first on the continent.

I'm on a round-the-world trip that began in California, USA about five months ago. I am currently in Croatia, working my way back to Germany for this meeting.

Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

Some answers to all your questions...

Hi guys out there,

I am getting mails every day about the event, I answered most of them - here some more information:

Bike Park:

Bikes can be parked direct at your tents - no problem!

Presenters, technical equipment:

We have a Beamer and screen on the spot, also Microphone if you need it.
The best would be to bring your own computer/Laptop. I have one too - if needed you can use it.

Internet/WIFI:

Not possible at the moment, we are working on it, but it looks complicated... Also not the best cell phone connection... Sorry

If anybody has an idea - please let me know - thank you!

Drinks:

Of course you can bring your own drinks, like etc. but I organised and soft drinks for very reasonable prices, we sell them ourself and pay at the end of the Meeting.

BBQ:

I will bring a big Barbecue, everybody can use it!
(Bring me some meat too....)

Rooms:

I think they Campground still has a couple of rooms etc. Please contact them direct:

Many thanks to Jens and the helpers for organising such a great event. I thoroughly enjoyed Thursday and Friday. Saturday morning very early I had to set off to another bikers event, so was unable to say goodbye to people.

These smaller HU events are my favourite: Lots of opportunity to speak to people, laugh and kick tyres.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
