Will come on thursday. Start in Cologne. Will take the route mainly at the rhine. Depending on the weather and when I'am able to go up in the mornin.

But, if someone like to join in, I could set the alarm

Looking forward to see you all...

HU Germany

I'm going to this as well... it's my first HU meet.

I've booked onto the LD Lines Portsmouth --> Le Havre overnight ferry departing tomorrow night (Tue). Just in case anyone else is on this ferry too, I'm on the black F800GS covered in hi-viz! I'm planning to tootle cross-country, avoiding the motorway, and should get there Thursday evening.

Hi - we'll be there too. First time overlanders and first-timers at a HUBB meet. We'll probably be at the site from late Wednesday onwards, as we're already in Germany. Riding a 1988 BMW R100GS 2-up all the way from New Zealand...

Hi Jens!

I had high hopes of being able to attend at least one evening, but it couldn't happen ;-( - and despite the absolutely 200% better weather now than last year and even warmer than the year before!! Anyway, I wish you and the assembled crew a great meeting. I wish I was there with you. Wife Yelena sends you and your family greetings. We enjoyed your event in 2011 together.

Best regards,

Steve Creamer

home.

Since I'am coming to the meeting I had much adventure on my way home.
First ice cold weather last autum, than heavy rain in spring and now stormy wind. Hope everyone arrived safely back home too.

Was a great meeting. Thanks Jens.

I made it back to Wales safe and sound too, through horrendous storms, wind and rain. It was an excellent weekend though and I met some great people.
Many thanks Jens and sorry I didnt get the chance to say goodbye.
Till next year......

Hi all, made it back finally a couple of days ago after spending some time camping in Belgium and avoiding the bad weather.

Really great to have met some very interesting people, Mike, Nick, Kev, Gregg, Tobias, David amongst the many.

All inspiring and lots of info. Unfortunately I feel a little overwhelmed by the difference in opinions and contrasting advice I received for a big trip in planning. Everyone tailors their over-landing adventures to their own particular vision, desires and experience. I have little experience and no clear vision ha! Just a burning desire to get out there and do it !!!

Hope to meet you all soon again.....on the road perhaps :-)

Jens, it looks like a very tough job, all that dust, horrible nature, even worse food, etc, etc, ... enjoy the trip

Thank you for a great weekend, see you in May...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
