Volunteers needed - MCs for Beaudesert

Hi everyone,

Starting to get organized and looking at volunteer jobs that need to be filled at the meeting in Beaudesert. We need three bold and brazzy people to act as MCs. This year we will be running two venues for presentations, the main pavilion/hall as well as the smaller, more intimate "Stewards' Room".

Oh, and you don't have to be brazzy, just willing to stand up in front of the group and introduce the presenters, make announcements etc. If you're up for it, please let me know.

Hi everyone,

Received a great response to the call to arms for MC, Alain and Brendon have put their hands up, so now we have three, including Helen. One more and we will have the MC team sorted.

Thanks,

Shane

After Breakfast Scott will lead us to a location where we can review our respective dirt skills and learn some more, finishing with a ride through some of the local forestry. Finish by 1:00 PM. After that you may ride through some more forestry, drop by one of the many cafes or pubs for lunch or head home to clean your bike.

This is our last event until the HU Beaudesert travellers meeting. and this is a great chance to learn some new skills and consolidate old ones. Look forward to seeing plenty of you there.

Registration: meals

Just one more nagging reminder. A check of the organizing notes and various emails says that registration for catered meals closes on Sunday night, 21 September 2014. So if you are coming and you want to join in the catered dinners on Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights, or a combination thereof, please register ASAP, or even earlier!

Hi everyone,

Just an article to enjoy that post-event glow. The attached PDF does not do the article justice and so the original can be found at

It was a great event.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
