Hi

I missed that particular session, I had to dash to Albury, so I also would like a copy if available?

Sian, a great weekend, thanks

Is it also possible to get a message to one of the other attendees? I lost the info he gave me, but he is Alan from Golbourne?

Cheers

Yes it was my first meeting also and I was impressed with the event. Sian really worked hard especially considering she is starting a business a couple of days later and would have heaps of things on her plate already. I learn't things at all the breakout sessions and found the whole thing valuable for information. Could not have hoped for a better time, even the weather was brilliant.

I only wished that i got to know a few more people. I was so taken in by all the of information, that I only got to talk to a few people in detail.

FYI, I was the guy with the black Suzuki M109R cruiser. Couldnt of missed it, me and a mate were the only ones there with cruisers.
Im trying to remember the name of the guy I was drinking with late on Saturday night. We were chatting on the front deck of the pub. I think he was drinking red wine out of a thermos lol (sneaky).

My mate bob on the left and me on the right (Rowan Petz)

Got to agree we had a great weekend, and will definately be there next year. Thanks Sian and helpers for organising the event.

Like you AussieGuy, I wished I grabbed more names. I spoke with you on day one when you arrived and rode into the camping area by the river. We spoke to the German 650Dakars about panniers, tanks and tents!

Had a great ride down and home, found all the breakout sessions to be well worth it, and how cool was Frank's bike with all the hidey holes for spares.

I'm inspired by the weekend - next year we are planning an around Oz trip - and then I have my eye on RTW within the next 5 years - work, money planning, dog, kids, house - all those issues need to be looked at first!!

Anyway, it was great to meet - chat and enjoy a weekend with likeminded indviduals. Great time

Cheers

Glad you all had a good time!

If anyone wants to contact anyone, send me an email and I will pass on your details to them - give me at least a couple of clues though

Also any feedback (constructive of course) is appreciated. I'm sure we can improve on somethings for the next meeting.

Sian

Unhappy

There were a few requests for stuff on my 'bike prep' thingy ... will do .... but it will take some time ... looks like I may have 'carpal tunnel' on the right hand ... I'm a left handed woodpecker at the moment ... and worse .. not riding!

A good weekend!!

Thanks Sian for all the hard work and effort.

Something that would've been quite useful would be to maybe have a another white board available where people can put down there names/destinations or continent and time frame for departure of upcoming trips and/or trips completed.

For example, leaving within 6 months, leaving within 6-12 (or 24) months and then beyond that.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
