Xr 650r for distance...
Just had word from a couple of Aussies been riding around Central Europe for some 3 months/11000kms on kitted xr650r shipped over from Oz.Apparently the only glitch was a broken speedocable... hope this helps someone wondering about these bikes and their full-on image!

Unfortunately they werent Hubbers although i tried to enlighten them! They were just at a French Motocamp i was at. They had identical bikes but slightly different mods (battery fitted/heated grips/bashguards etc), and homemade ally racks with softluggage.I have a pic but i´m touring right now but should be able to send it on in a couple of weeks´time.

XR650R - oils not well?
Mine has been super-reliable too (it's done the best part of 15,000 miles these past 10 months) but I do seem to be having oil consumption problems on mine - mainly at higher/constant throttle speed on road (typically 60mph+ on autoroutes), and I know some of the US websites/forums mention this issue...
I'm going to start a dedicated thread here and hope someone can help shed some light? xxx
