Valve clearence on XR250R

Can anybody help with the Valve Clearences on a 02 XR250R. Do you check the gap between the valve stem and the sub rocker arm or, between the sub rocker arm and the main rocker arm.

First make sure your piston is at TDC on the compression stroke, then use your wrench to hold the nut and a screwdriver on the center peice. lossen nut, then turn the screwdriver to loosen center. check clearance between the valve and the center piece(cant remember what that peice is called). Also make sure that the motor hasnt run in at least 24hours. on my 97' xr250r the clearance's were .004 in .005 exh. should be the same on the 02'. hope this helps. also I have a pdf of the shop manual if you need it, its for 96-04 xr250r. hope this helps.
