Transalp 650 (2k) and leaded fuel

Hi all,
I suppose the question previously raised one or more times but i can't find anaything about this subject..

Do i need to do some mod on the XLV650 to use leaded fuel (planning a trip in Brazil).

I know there is a cat but i don't know if there is a sensor too and what i should do ...

Please help !

Your right, leaded fuel and cats don't mix.

How you'd get around the problem thought, I have no idea.

As far as I know riding occasionally on leaded fuel wont kill you enginge. I have done it with my transalp (2K also) and had no problem. By now I have 73000km. I rode on leaded fuel between 38000 and 45000 (not all, but most on leaded in Marocco). The valves or anything else on the engine have't been touched yet and she is still running as day one.

think that if it will only be temporary you shouldn't worry too much.
