Stronger Headlight in Little Bike?

I just put in a 55/60 bulb in my Honda CTX200 dual sport here in South Africa. Standard is 35/35. Will this be a problem in anyway? Does it tax the battery more? I don't run any heated clothing or anything (it's winter in the Southern Hemisphere, you know!)

Is the bulb made to fit into your headlight? If not, the beam will be distorted and you have worse light than before.

Check the rating of your alternator to insure you have sufficient output. Of course, you can just ride and see if the battery goes flat...

Ditto -- check the output of your alternator and see if it will cope .You could use an LED rear/stop light to ease the electrical burden .

The easiest way to boost your light power is to change the bulb for a xenon type of the same specification. they give more light but use the same power.

yea take some fancy xenon/hid light like everybody has in sa :eek3:

i use a H4 100watt "rally" bulb to replace the H4 50/55watt standard bulb without any problems. it doesn't even effect the wires..
