Does it really only put out 30.1 bhp? anyone?

Sounds about right but have you checked that the airbox is fully opened and unplugged the exhaust?
If you're interested, I have an Excel spreadsheet of dyno tests with the stock exhaust and various aftermarkets pipes as well as a Word doc full of modification tips for an XR. Stephan |

XR's (atleast European ones) come jetted to run without the restrictive spark suppression baffle thing in the exhaust. I really don't know the figures but would imagine that power would be around or below 30bhp with the baffle in. Needless to say the bike is transformed with it out and something like a vortex tip on to take the edge off the noise.
