Still Missing
98 XR 650LAll the small steps have helped to reduce the severity of this miss, it occurs @ 50KM/H (30MI/H) in second gear, a definitive miss. Current jeting 55 long pilot, 157.7 Main, air screw 3 turns out. I would like to confirm the small tubing around the carb, I would like to verify this is correct. I have one starting immediately behind the butterfly. This goes to a “T” on the other side of the “T” it goes to the diapragm valve, the third end of the “T” goes to a “Y” one side of this “Y” vents to atmosphere, the other side goes to the air pump is this correct? Thanks. [This message has been edited by BDF (edited 15 June 2005).] |

He means a XR 650L 1998 biuld. |
The vaccumn lines don't vent to atmosphere. the tee should be between the port on the intake manifold and the air cut-off valve on the carb. it goes to the air pump and has a end to end fitting, not a y. the y is the breather for the carb vent/drain. I believe the drain has a one way valve as well
