ST1100 handle bar vibration

Have any of you folks experienced objectionable handlebar vibration on your ST1100? I've got too much on my bike, a 2001 model that has 10000 KM on it now. I've added rubber grommets to the top and bottom of the bars mounting clamp main bolt, and even though its better, it is still too much at 3400 to 3800 rpm. I'm considering rebuilding the bar mount assembly so that it isn't mounted quite as firmly to the top triple tree as it is right now. The engine seems to be properly fitted and tight in the frame. I'm not willing to pay the big bucks for an alternate style of bar mount such as Helibars. I have raised the bars one inch with spacers that I've manufactured, but this has not contributed to nor diminished the vibration tendency. Any ideas, before I get serious? Thanks, Pete.

Get your carbs synchronised really accurately. I did and 99% of the vibration disappeared.
