Rear suspension unit
On the subject of rear units, have a look at the www.fournales.fr
These are air units - no metal spring - and can take some abuse, they're used on rally raid cars and bikes and suit the characteristics of a monocross, (as opposed to a rising rate linkage) set up perfectly as gas works on a progressive principle and does away with the need of a heavy and costly linkage.
I've used one on my Yamaha TDM, albeit on asphalt, with great success.
