1998 A.T crash bars will they fit A 91 A.T?

Hi all Total newbie here just bought a 91 African Twin for a mad trip from the UK to India starting early October 2011 and have the chance to purchase a set of crash bars for a 98 model so the question is does anyone out there know if they will fit the 91 model or are they age specific?
Thank you in advance for your help
Regards Bill aka THEHAPPYWANDERER

Hi
Welcome to the HUBB. I don't the think the 1991 and 1998 A/T chassis were different. Maybe also post the question over on Honda Trail Bike Forums I'm sure you'll get the definitive answer.
cheers
Chris

Been a long time since I had one...... but I think there was a major change between 92 and 93, when its frame number went from RD04 to RD07. So the parts, that attach to the frame, might not fit from earlier to later models and v.v.

frames are different, you'll need to modify.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
