Useful info...

... your chain life is better than mine, also with an oiler; around 30,000 miles, but still good.. I think that some oilsplash from the chain goes on the splines and helps to keep the c/shaft sweet....

....and in the beginning, God said, "Let there be Africa Twins", and lo, Honda made them......

yeah i think your right,theres alot of oil getting flung off and the front sprocket guard is alway clogged up with greasy stuff so the shaft probably gets oiled aswell with the heat in there the oil probably works its way into the splines.im up in darwin oz at the mo havnt seen another AT for a year and bumped into an english guy and a guy from argentina both riding AT'S one was up to 257000km lol and still going strong........
