K&N filter on an xr650
Lads an Lassies,
Any advice on removing the airbox on my xr650 an replacing it with a K&N filter, my reasoning being to use the created space for a decent bettery. Is there any disadvantage to K&N filters for long distance travel? Would it get dirtier in dry sandy climates? Your comments appreciated, rossa

Hi, myexperience:
i have fitted one of these K&N filters last year on my XTZ and after 3000 miles i found some very fine dust inside the inside of the airbox, this didnt happen with the standard filters. I am trying a Pipecross foam filter now.
