GL650DD through Africa
howdy,
some time ago, I bought a GL650 with sidecar and I'm slowly working on it (major maintenance, fixing electricity, cleaning carbs and other stuff, ...) End of next year, I'm hoping to drive it through Africa (Brussels to South Africa and back again) but I'm not familiar enough with this piece of technique to know exactly what to expect and what parts might need extra attention (either now, while I'm already working on it, either what parts I should consider taking with me on the trip) Perhaps you have a better idea of what I should expect? running about 60 thousand kilometers I think (which equals 37000 miles) Thank you, Ben |
