Front suspension

Hi guys, first of all it's a pleasure to be a part of this great community!

I have a 95' Transalp, and I'm planning a trip to Marroco but I want to do somes mods first.

Since my TA only has 1 front disc and the suspension is still the original, I've found a comlete front fork from a 2001 XL650V model that has 2 discs and is a lot newer than mine, but I don't know if it'll feat.. What do you guy recon? Is it "plug and play"? I think there were no major differences between them but duno for sure..

I would really appreciate the help...

Thank you all

Regards

Francisco

Upgrading an old TA

Francisco, hi there and welcome on the HUBB. :welcome:

I am sure you will find and get lots of useful information here.

Concerning your Honda TA. I got a 1992 model .... built for the Japanese market. Until last year I used the original fork springs but then decided to do a minor upgrade, installing progressive fork springs. Tell ya, it does make a difference. I got mine from the German company Wirth (there are more out there like Wilbers and so on) and I am more than satisfied with my TA's performance now.

Hope this helps ...

Thaks klaus!

I was planning on doing so but it depends on how the 01' suspension is. If not good I'll just follow your advice.
