CG125 electrical issue

Hello

I have a Jreg Honda CG125 whose electrics appear a bit dodgy.

The indicators, horn and brake light dont work. The battery has been replaced and is fine. We are getting voltage readings on both cables running out from the battery. The connections in the headlamp area are a mess.

Its a long shot because i know these things are so difficult to find the cause of but does anyone have any pointers?

Pete

I'd say you've got a bad earth when several systems like that are not working; I assume you have checked the fuses? Check the battery earth and the earths from the circuits for those systems - you will probably find they are sharing the same one which is duff.

Hi, I know it's a long time since this problem was first raised but wanted to let others know that I had the same symptoms i.e no horn, no flashers & no brake light & discovered it was a dodgy ignition switch. After a squirt of brake cleaner into the key slot and then some WD40 it was back working again and all the items were back in the room!
