CG 125 Long Distance Oil Intervals
Just wondering ..
Right now I stick to a good quality semi synth, usually either Honda 4 stroke oil or Castrol GP4. I do a lot of miles, so I change the oil every month or every 6-800 miles or so. In summer I note that the gearbox turns into a bag of bolts, stiff shifting and struggling to find neutral on very hot days etc. So, since I am off to Spain where it wont be mega hot but will be in a few months time and it is an air cooled engine and all, would it be worth switching to an esther based group v fully synth oil? Or will this be a waste of money since the drop intervals are so frequent? I am also worried about maintaining a good oil film on the bearings etc as these are old school engines after all .. Or should I just carry on with the semi synth and change it every month religiously?

cg125 long distance oil intervals
Just keep changing the oil as you are doimg and you will have no problems. I ran one of these bikes for years changing the oil every 1000 miles, all ok. btw i would check your clutch/chain tension . Good luck

hi i currently also ride a cg125 here in brazil ,manual says oil change every 3000km about (2000 milres) using mineral oil ,was thinking about using semi as it a pain as i do quite a lot of miles any advice out there please
