Calling RD04 riders

Hi guys, I have a RD04 and want to fit Ultra Heavy Duty inner tubes for my trip, (plenty of desert / rough roads)... I have Anakee 130/90 – 17 65s tyres on the rear but my local tyre dealer, also ex traveller on an AT said Michelin tubes would not be ideal… the rear being too small or two big, however looking at their site I don’t see a 17”… fronts not a problem with the 90/90x21…

What are other RD04 riders using ?

Inner tubes Ultra Heavy Duty

Super-reinforced

Made from natural rubber, super-reinforced Michelin inner tubes have a 4mm wall thickness, ensuring unsurpassed sealing along with excellent resistance to punctures and pinch flats.
MARKING SIZES
18 UHD Medium 120/90x18 (100/100x18) - 130/80x18 (110/100x18)

19 UHD 120/80x19 (100/90x21) - 130/70x19 (110/90x19)
21 UHD 90/90x21 (80/100x21)

I m a RD04 rider and usually fir 140/80-17 tires and ones even a TKC-80 150/70R17. Last time I fit it with a Metzeler reinforced inner tube in 17, no troubles. But nobody import to Argentina 17 reinforced tubes, I get it from an EU friend.
Michelin made the 17MHR 140/80-17. I’m guessing that will fit even with the 130.

Saludos.

Tyres

Hi javkap,

Many thanks for the quick reply, just one more question - are there any down sides to fitting the 140/90 tyre ? eg harder to fit etc...

Many thanks Matt
