Welcome

Just spend a few hours reading the various forums, you'll find all your answers... for second hand parts and racks look to ebay.de ...

Good luck

Believe it or not........

Its not about the bike/luggage/kit/gear etc etc..... it has EVERYTHING to do with YOU as a person.

IF YOU THINK YOU CAN DO IT, OR YOU THINK YOU CANNOT DO IT, YOU WILL BE RIGHT IN BOTH CASES!

RTW has been done on everything from Honda 50 Mopeds to Yamaha R1 Race reps, Harleys, Gold Wings with and without all the chrome crap! Dont get hung up on being a "tackle tart" or a "must have this shiny kit freak", just go out and ENJOY it!

Best Wishes

Well no one seems to have said welcome, so welcome!

As suggested earlier, get reading into the threads in here and you will probably find that all of your questions have already been answered - if they haven't, then you can always come back in with specific questions.
You already have a good start because you have got past that stage of asking "which bike"!

Sooner or later, those in here who own an Africa T will answer up and give you some advice; you can do a search in here using any key word that appeals to you, BTW.
You could also consider looking into the web for specific sites dealing with the Africa Twin (often known as the AT or @).

The basic choice on luggage is soft or hard; read up on both!!

Oh yes, they say that the reg/rec is a weak point so you might want a spare one for travelling,

Cheers,

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
