Africa twin Rear Shock

Hi gang,
advice please on new rear shock for my RD07, riding on my own the bike feels fine, but two up the bike feels as tho it is dragging its arse along the ground....

Do they make adjustable shocks for the @, by the way....what is preload?

The standard rear shock on the Africa Twin is adjustable for preload only. This means you can compress the spring part of the shock, which increases the feeling of 'stiffness' from the back of the bike. If you're loading up with luggage and a pillion then you'll probably need to increase the preload considerably from the standard position. The fact that you're asking what preload is probably means it's better for you to get your local mechanic/dealer to do this for you. A good place will ask how much weight you want to carry and adjust the shock accordingly.

If you really want to have a go yourself, read the link below for a concise how-to.

Hope this all helps.
