Africa Twin - Small easy to remove tank bag options ??

Hey all

I've just taken delivery of my 3rd Africa Twin... YAY !

First on the shopping list is a sub 10L tank bag that Is quick and easy to remove. Something I can store valuables in and take off the bike easily when I stop for fuel, lunch etc.

I really like the bagster city/trail bag but I refuse to pay an extra £85 for the tank cover to fit it !

http://www.baglux.co.uk/productinfo.php?code=4840

can anyone recommend a similar bag without the need for a tank cover..

I hear the AT is a bit of a pain to get a tank bag for.

Hi Ted

Get one of these and keep your valuables in a bum bag inside it. It'll also give your bike that authentic moto traveller look to go with your Ruta Cuarenta sticker!

If you only want something small, I'd go for a Wolfman Enduro tankbag...

Wolfman Motorcycle Luggage - Colorado Brilliant, Uncompromising, Distinquished

I have one, and so do a number of my trail/adventure riding friends... they secure to the bike with three quick-release buckles and the straps come long enough to fit pretty much any bike (including the AT I imagine!)... it's big enough to take a tool kit/tube/puncture kit etc, or an SLR camera for example.

Alternatively you can just fill it with chocolate like I tend to do x

Seconded.

Probably OTT £££ new, but second hand they're a good buy. Sturdy, glove friendly zips, expandable, and compressable (probably about 15 ltr when expansion zipped away). can be worn as a rucksack, but comfier than some I've worn, plus as smallish saddle bag types that can zip to the tank cover.

If I can adapt mine to the Ural, I will.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
