Africa Twin Fuel Pump

Given the ongoing fuel pump debacle/debate I will buy a replacement pump to take out to South America as a spare.

Anyone know a suitable pump and supplier in the UK?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Matt,

I'm off to the BMF Tail end show in Peterborough this September, apparently there is tons of gear there and extrememly cheap on the Sunday.

I'm hoping to buy some bits for my AT, check out the website at: http://www.bmf.co.uk/events2004/tailend04/index.html

Will be meeting up with some friends there, let me know if you are keen.

Cheers
Brian

Is it electric or vacuum actuated?. I'd run a mikuni that's rebuildable (with spare diaphram), should be easy to find .

The Mikuni has been recommended before. Any idea of a part number? I also heard that a mitsubishi pump (Part No.uc-z-9lb) as fitted to a CBR600FY would do the job.

Won't be able to get one at the BMF meeting Brian, got a flight back to Colombia on the 7th. Better get on and order a pump!

Cheers, Matt

Mine has just started to go, while I was in Italy/France. Got home ok, just switch on and off and it starts pumping again. Although the running is getting rougher, so I assume I don't have long left to get it sorted.

34,000 miles on the bike.
