Acerbis "Africa"how to fit

I have an 1988 handa NX650 Dominator and a Acerbis "africa" tank that I would like to fit,I will need to move/refit the front tank mounting rubbers and make a new seat!does anyone have any suggestions/advice on this undertaking?

Being in the US and not having experience with this bike, I don't know what's involved - but I am curious if you can point me to a web site showing pictures of this tank - how big is it?

I am doubtful that tank fits the Dommie, since that tank is specifically designed to fit around the radiators on the XR650R - while the Dommie is air-cooled.

Unfortunately, the rear tank also doesn't come close to fitting an XR650L or Dommie from what I've heard. But where there's will there's a way and a good fabricator would most likely be able to modify and strengthen your subframe to accomodate that tank.

The Acerbis "Africa" is out of production now I think it is a plastic tank surprise surprise !
It Has Two fuel tap outlets and a flat area next to the Cap for fitting a Roadbook/toasted sandwich machine etc.
Total capacity 30l

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
