My first post here, :welcome: hopefully not too similar to others!

Recently married, my wife and I are trying to plan our first real motorcycle trip together :scooter: - previously we have just camped in the UK.

We want to tour places in Europe that neither of us have seen in any detail, and would like any knowledge and help that you can give us.

SO, what are we looking for?
Both of us like camping and being in the 'wild' but we also like the odd hotel in the major city in which to relax and take in the sights, sounds and smells.
We are looking to spend roughly 2-3 weeks on the trip, heading to Italy as neither of us have been there, and perhaps taking in a bit of Belgium, France, Switzerland and perhaps Germany on the way. As said, we would like to spend some time in the major cities such as Brussles, Bern, Venice, Rome, Nice, but also love camping.

We aren't the type to set anything in stone but to have a general idea of where and when we want to be anywhere, and perhaps a few alternatives to that we can take ourselves wherever feel the urge.

So, any suggestions on routes, things to do and see, restaurants/hotels/experiences that we must/should not do whilst on our way?
