Want to use a bike in Europe ?

This is not a fully formed idea yet, but I can't match my 8 week 05 trip any more due to work. But 2 weeks is not enough to get far....

So - maybe I ride somewhere in Europe and either leave it there and fly back later to continue, or I lend it to someone else so that it ends up somewhere completely different for my next leg.....

All ideas considered. I've got several bikes, but it would probably be a Blackbird or a faired Trident 900 - both with full hard luggage.

Why not fly to india and rent a bike for the two weeks.. surely somethig different, and you can walk away when its time to come home. Or anywher else for that matter. what you save on shipping your bike would pay for flying somewhere special and the rental

I'm not going to be shipping the bike anywhere...... Not too bothered about India anyway, but thanks for the thought.

Leave it with us

If you want to leave a Trident 900 with us you are welcome as long as you dont mind it being looked after and ran out in the sun occasionally, we try not to ride in the rain. My bike doesnt know what rain feels like.

We live about an hour from the North German border in Denmark, very close to Haderslev, just off the E45. The bike would be stored indoors and there are very cheap flights with Ryanair from Esjberg which is an hour away from our house, the flights are to Stansted Stansted.

If you come in to the hook of Holland you can take a gentle ride up, Holland and Germany into Denmark, maybe then into Sweden and then fly home from Esjberg. When you come to collect it fly to Esbjerg, get the bike and ride south.

We are all bike owners and have access to workshop and tools, plus a lot of knowledge from friends and family.:welcome:
