VStrom parts/service best in Greece or Turkey?

Hi,

We are travelling Europe to Aus, currently in Italy and will take the ferry to Greece in next week or two. I would like to get the bike serviced and maybe new chain & sprockets before leaving Turkey and heading onto Iran/Pak/India.

Can anyone recommend if Greece or Turkey is better for parts/service for big bikes? Any recommendations?

Skillo

Petrol head heaven

Check out Thessaloniki in northern Greece - it's motor city, loads of bike shops and spares outlets

I got some work done on my TDM when we passed through - excellent standard of work and cheap compared to English prices.

Saved me posting a question, I'll need the same thing, parts and service, for a BMW 1150GS...Now (hijacking a bit), does anyone know an address there (not a stealer, but a good mechanic )??

Thanks
Fernando

Odisseas Odi at Moto Matakos - great mechanic & all round nice guy.
They really looked after us & it was the cleanest workshop I have ever seen - you could eat off the floor.

Yamaha dealer though so may not be any use to you.

Hi mate,

If you are getting the ferry from Italy to Greece via Patras they have quite a few big bike shops (the big four Jap manufacturers). They are all a few Kms out of town. There is also a BMW dealership as well with a full service centre for bikes. Only thing is I dont have the address (of the BM shop) so will post back later on today.

Cheers
