Horizons Unlimited - The HUBB - Visiting Barcelona 5/14

Hello all.

I have been a member on ADVrider for about 5 years now, and joined here recently at the suggestion of a friend.

I will be travelling to Barcelona, arriving 5/14, and leaving early morning on 5/20.

I would love to get in some riding for a day or 2, preferably dirt or trail riding, while I am there. Of course, any riding in a new place is good riding. I am particularly interested in exploring what looks to be (on google maps) a mountainous area to the North/West of Barcelona.

My wife works for ESPN X-Games which is taking place in Barcelona during this time, and I will be tagging along on her business trip. Fortunately the games don't start until late in the evening, so that will leave a fair amount of free time during daylight hours. I do want to see some of the local sites, but I would really like to do some riding too.

I was hoping that someone local might be interested in showing me around a bit, possibly have an extra bike to lend, or know of a place that I could rent something for a reasonable price. As it stands now I am planning on renting something. It looks like there are a number of rental agencies in Barcelona.

Any help, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

...I was hoping to PM a few local members, but noticed that I must have 5 posts to do so. I may make a few posts of random pictures from some of my rides in this thread to accomplish that.
