Tyres in istanbul: Metzler or Mitas
 

Does anyone know where I can pick up some Mitas E07s for a BMW f650 Dakar in Istanbul:

90/90 xS21

130/80 x S17

Hi David,

Can't speak for the Mitas but have just been picking up tyres (Metzelers) in Istanbul this week. I got mine through Daytona in Kurucesme (between the 2 bridges on the European side - dead easy to find), ask for Bener, he speaks great English and is a great guy (+90 555 9973394). Ended up getting Enduro 3 as all Tourance in the country seem to be stuck in customs til the end of the month (they do have Tourance EXP's though).

Don't know if this helps you much but, given the warning you had about the Mitas.....

Bob -The Mitas E07's are fine- I was told there were some glitches in 2 weeks in 2008
Mitas replaced the tyres immediately and were very helpful.:thumbup1:

Mitas is sold by Suleyman Memnun. Located in Maslak district, Ataturk Oto Sanayi. This is the european side of town.
