Turkey BMW Dealerships

I will be arriving Turkey in 10 days after a very hard trip in the Stans and I want to go Israel before Greece. My GS 1200 needs new tyres and whole service. Does anyone know about if there are BMW Dealerships in Istambul or Ankara? If there are any other in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Israel, do not hesitate of posting their adress.

Hi Miquel,

There is indeed one in Istanbul, full service shop from people that I know who have visited it. As you know, it is clear across the country though, so Ankara would be a closer coming from the east if someone confirms that there is one there. If you are looking for basics just to tide you over until you get to a big city, there is a knowledgeable BMW guy closer to the Turkey/Syria border, although he is mostly experienced only in older models.

As for Syria and Jordan, no dealerships. Lebanon or Israel don't know. What your plan to get to Greece? Ferry or overland?

The pics and reports are great BTW, keep 'em coming.

By using the SEARCH facility you will find Samy's post containing the addresses you are asking for

Hi, guys, thanks all. Actually, I don´t need especial works but balancing wheels when fit the new tyres. Filters and oil replacements can be done by my own, so just what I need is new air filter and oil filter. But if there is chance to fit strokes by expert hands, it will be welcome. If someone knows the contact details for the BMW non official mechanic near Syria border, I will apreciate to be posted.

About Greece, I want to ship on a ferry from Haifa to Athens. It seems Rosenfeld can help, so I wrote him and I am waiting for budget and dates. I was also wondering if I can get syrian visa at the border.

To check pics and reports visit

Hello Miquel,

There is one official BMW dealer in Ankara and the mechanic in that shop is a really skilled mechanic, his name is Mustafa. They do all kind of repairs and maintenance except tire changing and balancing. They usually send tires to a tire shop and that tire shop is very close to my work place. So, if you decide to change your tires in Ankara, I would gladly help you on that. (Around a year ago, patching and balancing my front tire cost me 35 TL. Around 18 Euros). Also, if i am in Ankara and available when you arrive, I would gladly host you for a few days and lend you my tools.

Cheers,
Ozgur

Hi Ozhanu. I booked a date for service in BMW Istambul by 27th July early in the morning. They have Metzeler Tourance in stock, and I think those tyres would be Ok for the way I will do, mainly on asphalt roads and some trips on unsealed ones. Thanks.

BMW Shop in Adana

Hey bud,

There is a bike shop in Adana, as Mountain man says he specializes in old BMW's, He should be able to locate tyres etc for you. I'm not sure of the address but its near a pretty big Mosque. Ask the police there, they ride BM's and get there work done there. Fix a price first or you'll get ripped off.

Hi, Kev. I got new tyres in BMW Istambul. Metzeler Tourance, and the whole service (engine, final drive and gear box oil, filters, lamps and valves) by 500 euros. In just 3 hours. It is Ok, I think.

But it is good to know about that guy. Thanks.

I had my 1200GSA serviced by Boristan Auto in Istyne(Istanbul) on my way to Australia last year. I reckon they are the best BMW dealer I have ever been to. And their prices weren't much different to elsewhere. It was also quite a pleasure eating their food and drinking their coffee while waiting.
