Asking for your help in Poland or the Czech Republic

Hello! We are looking for a small apartment to rent for about 3 or 4 nights in Prague, or vicinity, (or in Gdansk, Poland or vicinity) sometime around July 18th.

We are Tipi and Chae, friends of Joe and Lara.

Joe and Lara are friends of Lois Pryce (Lois on the Loose) & Austin Vince (Mondo Enduro), and Erdem Yucel (co-founder Ted Simon fndtn).

Last year, with their immense encouragement, Joe and Lara drove
around the world in a peugeot that we purchased for about $150
USD.
When they got to Vladivostok, we met them.
We are two girls who had arrived from Korea that same day and were about to set off in the direction they had just come from, on our tiny honda
motorscooters! Our plan was to be gone for 2 years.

We have been on a road for 11 months so far passing through Russia, Ukraine, Hungary, Slovenia, Italia, France, Spain, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherland, Denmark, Sweden, Norwey, and Finland.

We are now heading down to Helsinki from North Cape(Nord Kapp).

Joe and Lara have remained in close contact with us and were able to
set them up with many of our friends in the UK, where we spent
the winter working. We are back on the road now, and we are
looking to meet up with Joe and Lara this summer as Joe and Lara will be
in London to work for Lois and Austin on their Adventure Travel
Film Festival.

We estimate that we will likely be in The Czech Republic or Poland by that time in July, so Joe and Lara were hoping to fly in from London and reunite with us.

Our hopes are the following:

1) a small apartment or house to rent for about 3
nights for 4 people. Do you know of anyone who will be out of
town who would allow us the use of their apartment, or of
anyone with enough space to put up the 4 of us?

2) We will need safe parking for Tipi and Chae's
scooters- whether at this same apartment, or somewhere else
near by, it does not necessarily matter- we just need them to be able
to park and lock them and leave them for a few days where they
won't be stolen or vandalized.

3) an apartment or house outside of the city could be nice too- It doesn't have to be in a city or in a city center. We just want something that would be easy enough for us to get to and from a central train or airport and for Tipi and Chae to find with little effort driving. We are unlikely to hire a
car as we are hoping to keep costs down.

This is an exploratory message- it is unclear if either Joe & Lara or Tipi & Chae will be able to make this commitment, but we wanted to see what our possibilities are.

Thank you so much for your time!

Warmest Regards,

Tipi and Chae

sorry, no help with an appartment, but in Praha, the university accomodation at strahov stadium is cheap to rent over the summer. In 2005 I parked in the car park next to the accomodation for free but you may have to pay for it now.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
