small dog on a gs adventure.....................

Wasnt sure where to post this but if its in the wrong place im sure it,ll be moved to the right place.....
Im planning a trip through France,Italy, in the future and would like to take along my Border terrier if possible................Has anyone ever done this????
I have been doing some research on how to carry the dog as you can buy purpose built bags/boxes etc.....
I am aware off the procedures in taking a dog to europe as have done it before in a 4x4.....and i beleive the Swiss have stricter laws on dogs entering....
Thanks for any pros and cons.......

Baglux <edit> used to <edit> do a dog carrier to fit their tank harnesses. Unfortunatly the pictures show West Highland Terriers, but I guess you could paint the Border Terrier white and it would be ok.....

Punky & Lew traveled all of Mex, Cent. America, S. America on a KLR about 5 to 6 years ago. He had some kind of tank bag rig I believe. The pic below shows Lew's Vstrom but most travel was done on his KLR. Google Punky & Lew, probably more info on how he carried the dog.

Be careful where you put your dog down. Little punky was eviscerated by some bad Pit Bull ... nearly died.
