Russian Ukraine border

Hi all,

I want to return on to the EU on my GS from Russia via the Ukraine later this Summer.

My question is do I need any specific paper work to enter the Ukraine specifically a visa and, most importantly can I buy insurance for the Ukraine at the border? Of course I have a visa and insurance for Russia.

Not quite sure where I’ll enter the Ukraine. Probably South of Kiev.

Cheers for your help!

Why do you ask if you need a visa without stating where you are from? I can narrow your question down to two answers. You might need a visa, or you might not.

Why not make the effort of visiting the website of a Ukranian embassy, where you should be able to find out whether you need a visa.

Insurance is available at the border, assuming you don't already have a Green Card policy.

Visa or no visa aside, the is no specific paperwork required.

Daniel

Thanks,

My error should have pointed out that I have an EU passport.

Why not ask an Embassy or visit their site? Who tells you I haven't? If I'm asking here it's because I want to hear it from someone that has direct and recent experience.....Obviouse my friend!

Cheers for your help.

you don't need a visa. compulsory insurance can be bought at the border if you don't have a green card.
you will get pulled by the rozzers so don't try without it, it's not expensive.

Hello.

You won't need a VISA to enter Ukraine, stay sure.

On my way to Kazakhstan, I crossed the UK/RUS border in the south close to Novoshakhtinsk (RUS), and it took 1 hr 45 min.
Returning home, I crossed back into Ukraine at the border 20 km west of Kamensk-Shakhtinskiy, where it took about 1 hour.
In either these cases, I found friendly and efficient officers and no hassle at all.
