Registering bike in Bermany

As a non EU resident (Norway) is it possible to buy, register and insure a bike in Germany? The plan is to sell it in Germany when returning from the trip.

No I think it’s hard for a foreigner to register a bike in Germany (you need an address). It used to be better in the Netherlands.

Lykke til!

Sorry, not possible. One exception: export plates. I haven't been able to find out specifics, but it appears unsuitable for you, because the vehicle is deleted from the registration database, making re-registration expensive and possibly a beauraucratic nightmare.

Why? I've been told that I can register a German bike with German plates as a non German without a German driver's licence in Germany if I have an address there...which I have.

In fact I am just in the process of looking at a bike there.
