Place to buy tyres in Georgia

We (2 XT600E motorcycles) will need to change to road tyres in Georgia. Looking for Mitas brand (e08 or e07) but not bothered so long as they are decent. As we are traveling about there we can go any main city.

So:

We are lookig for 17-120/90 rear and 21-100/90 (or 21 3.50) front - any good workshop recommendations. Alternatively will someone take delivery of some we send ahead.

Thanks. Charles.

Hello,

in Tbilisi you shouldn't have a hard time to find tires.
Here is the phone no. from Slava at the KTM dealership in Rustavi (not too far from the airport). I haven't met him myself, but got him suggested through HU :-) Slava - +995 599 99 09 81

Maybe it helps you!

Cheers

Alex

The KTM dealer is the only official motorbike dealer in Tbilisi and most of us import our own tires as there is no stock in the city. I agree that connecting with Slava or Zura at +995 558 15 09 95 is your best plan. If you are coming via Istanbul (1750 kms away) there are lots of options. That is where I rode to for tires last year.

Rushmore Motorcycles Georgia

Rushmore Motorcycles Georgia is a Triumph and Harley-Davidson dealer which opened last year in Tbilisi. You can contact them via Facebook and they'll order you tires if they don't have them in stock. They are very friendly and competent and will help you with everything you need.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
