Piemont macadam roads and passes?

Hi all,
finaly this summer will reach that area on my 660 Tenere, I guess. At the moment, I have focused my intentions on Someiller, Mt. Jafferau, Assieta road, Coll Parpaillon. Any other suggestion will be appricieted; count that my interest are only macadan roads and passes, forget asphalt !
Thx in advance,

AnteK

Hmm, interesting: in France macadam=asphalt!

I think it's in the first weekend of August they hold the annual Stella Alpina Rally on the Colle Sommeiller. Recommended. The top of the road MAY be free of snow by then. Free camping, no organisation to speak of.

Here in the vicinity you can do the Ligurian border road. Start in France in Casterino, cross the Col de Tende, continue past the ruins of the old forts until Monesi in Italia. Nice trip, although I'm sure they will close that one down, too. There are already barriers East of the Col de Tende, but you can get past with a bike.

There are also a few tracks around Triora/Italia.

Salut from Southern France, the bikers' paradise,

Peter.

The Stella Alpina will take place on Sunday July 11th. Around Bardonecchia there are lots of trails. I dont have detailed maps of them or GPS tracks. try and find maps that lits the old military trails as well.

you are going to have a good time!
