But that's what the communities are for! People who sign up for them want to be "bothered".

Cool

Hi Samy, sorry for the delay in replying but at the moment I am stuck in a bed and restricted to begging computer time from laptop owners. I was assuming that most winter rents would be along the med. coast starting around Marmaris and running east but I could be wrong. Anyway, any information will be appreciated. Ride safe.

I guess Marmaris would have something all year around. But if you want the real adventure contact with Sonke from Yoshi Motors. They do enduro tours.
Yoshimoto Offroad Tours - Veranstalter von ENDURO REISEN in der Türkei: Yoshimoto Offroad Tours - Start

Consult with him also for a simple rental.
He should know

Smile

Hi Burak, thanks for the info but it was being a bit adventurous that got me all of these broken bits that are healing at the moment. What I am looking for is a place near the UK where I can hole up and from where I can take easy rides this northern winter so next spring (2008) I will be fit enough to ride off and check out places where I might break some more bits. Ride safe.

Hello again,
I guess many people from UK consider Marmaris as a close place since so many visit there. Still there are many remote villages where you can find good quality housing for a reasonable price.

I hope it all get better with your accident(s)?.

If in Marmaris still call Sonke for alternative scooter like rentals and general advice.

Regards

Burak

I have to second the recommendation for Yoshimoto.

I passed through there over Christmas 2005 and they were very accomodating, both in terms of accomodation and allowing me access to their workshop.

Here is a post with their details from the KTM board

Hi

Mr. Nevran is a Turkish rider living in the Southern Turkey.

Nevran's site

I recommend you to make a contact with him from the above site. He is very kind and helpful. He knows Turkey well, so you can ask him anything.
